North Texas Eye Care Elective Refractive

PRK

PRK, or photorefractive keratectomy, is an elective refractive surgery to correct myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism. Unlike LASIK, PRK only removes the outermost layer of the cornea (epithelium) to re-shape the cornea. Often times this can reduce the common side effect of dry eye syndrome post elective refractive surgery. If you are interested in a PRK consultation, please make an appointment with our office. After completing the surgery with our opthalmalogist, we will be your post operative care physician.
